“Trash the Dress” which originated in the States is becoming increasingly popular here in the UK. Despite the title “Trash the Dress” /TTD all photo shoots result in no long lasting damage to the wedding dress unless you actually really want to trash the dress! Actually the title “Trash the Dress” can be a bit off-putting and “Mess the Dress” would be perhaps a more appropriate name. The photo shoot is more about artistic creation and freedom than destruction. Whether its called TTD, “Day After Shoots”, “Shoot the Dress”, “Dangerous Bridals” or whatever, the photo shoot is only limited to the imagination of all those involved but generally the object is to photographically depict the wedding dress in a completely different environment to its normal use. We offer “Trash the Dress” photo sessions to all brides, both to those we have already photographed through www.wessexweddings.co.uk and to the those who haven’t previously used our wedding services. It’s an opportunity for brides to don the wedding dress again, a few days after the Big Day or even years after, and have a bit of fun in a (anti-) fashion-style photo shoot. The majority of wedding dresses having being worn just once remain wrapped up covered in acid-free tissue paper in a dusty closet. Perhaps its time to get the dress out again. Free the dress!

On November 1st wedding photographers www.wessexweddings.co.uk photographed the marriage of Rebecca and Dave at Tone Dale House, Wellington, Somerset. Their friends and family spent a relaxing weekend at Tone Dale House. A large private house built in 1797, deep in the Somerset countryside, the hiuse is a fantastic venue for weddings and house parties. For weddings Tone Dale House is hired from Friday to Monday and is an approved venue for civil marriages. The beauty of the property is that it feels like a real family home and visitors immediately feel its their home- a great way to get married among friends and family.
