When comparing prices of wedding photographers we suggest that you compare carefully. For example Wessex Weddings supply clients with the high resolution files in .jpg format. This means that you can make copies for friends, they are yours to do as you wish (other than publish commercially); many photographers charge a considerable sum for this alone. Our service is very different from most photographers who insist that you purchase every print from them; effectively holding you to ransom over prints and albums. We can provide services like wedding albums etc. but there is absolutely no obligation to buy anything further from us.
In addition we provide two professional photographers who capture the whole story and Paul can show you many many examples of his weddings and published work. In these times of economic recession you'll find many people claiming to be professional wedding photographers and offering weddings from 250 pounds (some on Ebay are less!).
Wessex Weddings offers professional work at sensible prices; it's as simple as that! Your wedding day is special and the photographs will remain long after the guests, cake and flowers have gone. An investment in good photography will remain long after the excitement of the day.

For those getting married in the South West of England (Somerset / Dorset / Wiltshire / Devon / Cornwall / Gloucestershire / Hampshire), and South Wales, I am offering a ONE photographer option, just me, Paul Quayle. This "LOCAL SPECIAL" could be ideal if you don't want many formal group shots, your wedding has a small number of guests, or where the bride and grooms bridal preparation shots would be taken in the same location.
Prices for ONE photographer are £650 for 5 hours photography, and additional hours are calculated at a rate of £55 per hour. If you book me for 8 hours, our most popular option, I've added an additional discount, and I'm offering this service at £795.

Option 1
The ultimate service, 2 experienced photographers covering the whole day from the bride getting ready to the first dance. Approximately 300 high resolution images supplied on disk. All images (low resolution) posted in your own, password protected, internet gallery for friends and family to view (and purchase should they wish).
Price £1100 for 2 photographers. £795 for 1 photographer with "LOCAL SPECIAL" offer.
Winter prices £990 for 2 photographers. £715.50 for 1 "local special" offer photographer.
Option 2
Similar to above but limited to five hours of photography. Approximately 150 high resolution images supplied on disk. All images (low resolution) posted in your own, password protected, internet gallery for friends and family to view (and purchase should they wish).
Price £875 for 2 photographers. £650 for 1 photographer with "LOCAL SPECIAL" offer.
Winter prices £787.50 for 2 photographers. £585 for 1 "local special" offer photographer.
Option 3
Similar to above but limited to two hours of photography. Approximately 75 high resolution images supplied on disk. All images (low resolution) posted in your own, password protected, internet gallery for friends and family to view (and purchase should they wish). Please note that we can only generally offer this shorter option for late bookings as we give preference to bookings for Option 1 or 2. We also reserve the right for one photographer to do such a booking.
Price £550
If you book Option 1 or 2 Wessex Weddings can supply you with enough custom printed A6 size 'Thank You' cards for all your guests with your chosen colour image on the front and your own text inside for just £99.
As well as your own online password protected gallery your high resolution images will be sent to you burnt on to CD for you to use as you wish. We find CD's as being the most convenient format for most computer systems.
Other Services
In addition Wessex Weddings can organise wedding albums, general Photoshop work and retouching, prints, and canvas prints etc. All these are reasonably priced based on the amount of materials involved.
Wedding Albums
Wessex Weddings do not include a wedding album in our standard packages, mainly because they come in such an amazing variety of styles, quality and prices. It would be very easy for us to include one but unfair of us to do so without knowing your requirements. If you want an album preparing please discuss this with us because it can be as simple as arranging your photos into a basic album or as complex as individually retouching all the photos and producing a stunning coffee table book. Bookings
We need a 10 percent deposit to book your wedding photography with the balance payable 30 days prior to the wedding. No specific date is guaranteed until the booking deposit has been received and confirmed in writing. As with all things dates can fill up fast so it is advisable to book as soon as is practicable.
